F.A.Q.

-->

General

Q: What kind of paint that you use?
A: We only use paint that are specifically created for skin application and used widely in theater . Brands that we use are Ben Nye, Kryolan and Mehron. For more information about safety of these products, visit: 10 Safety tips for face painting from About.com

Q: What if I have an open wound?
A: Please wait until your wound is healed before getting painted

Workshop

Q: How long does a workshop last?
A: 3 hours of painting workshop time. Please come early. We will start promptly.

Q: What should I bring to the class?
A: For beginners class, we provide the materials, so all you need to bring is your “canvas” (model). If you can’t find a model, we can provide one for you for additional cost.

Q: What should I wear to the class?
A: Please wear something that you don’t mind getting paint on and comfortable. The paint is water based and easily washable, but it’d free you to be more creative and expressive if you don’t have to worry about getting messy.

Q: Is there any preparation that I need to do prior to the workshop?
A: For the painter, nothing. For the model/canvas, please see the “model” section below.

Q: How much does a class cost?
A: Cost for each workshop may vary. Please see workshop page

Q: What would I get at the end of the workshop?
A: In addition to a fun experience and acquiring a new skill, you will also receive photos of you painting/getting painted and a certificate of course completion.

Q: Which part of the body will I paint?
A: We will paint on the torso or back.

Model

Q: Can I bring a friend to the shoot?
A: Yes, as long as s/he doesn’t interfere with the creative process

Q: What kind of preparation do I need to do?
A: Please do not apply any body lotion before the session and remove body hair for the area that will be painted.

Q: How long does a session take?
A: A typical body painting session takes 3-5 hours, then the photoshoot takes about another hour.

Q: What kind of body type is required to be a body painting model/canvas?
A: There’s no special requirements. Each body type is unique and beautiful. The body painting would be created specifically to compliment every model’s body type and size.
