This is a better version of the image from this series.
Unlike the last one, with this one, I tried to be more conservative with the background in order to highlight the painting and make the body more identifiable.

The concept for this piece was suggested by the model. It all started with the desire to use the hat that she brought from Moscow in the shoot.
We decided to use a wolf as an image because it’s the animal that’s dear to the model’s heart and she associates it with Russia.
We had so much fun creating this piece. We ended up taking more than 900 pictures.
The background and “tattoo” were added in the editing process.

This was the best glow-in-the-dark piece I’ve done so far. We started around 2pm and finished with the shoot close to 2am.
Unfortunately, I didn’t do a good job photographing it and most of the pictures were blurry. i need to work on that.
I did this image, using one of the pictures that are in focus and combining it with the back side of the painting (the wings) which is not visible from this angle.
I have a mixed feeling about this final image. I like how the fire adds a lot of energy and adds a layer of narrative, but it also distract from the body and somewhat tacky. I would appreciate some feedback on this.

This is a painting based on one of Alphonse Mucha’s paintings from his “stars” series.
I wasn’t really happy with the painting itself. It was due to lack of preparation and very limited time for painting. Not an excuse, just pointing out what caused the unsatisfactory quality.
However, I had a good time editing the picture. The treatment of the background and editing enhance the painting and push it to the next level. This is the reason why I’m showing this here.
Most likely I will redo this painting, but keep the same direction for the editing.

I will be doing body painting at the opening party for a sexy shop in Williamsburg called SHAG (weloveshag.com).
SHAG is a cool store featuring work by local artists and designers.
At this event, I will be painting 2 models, 1 male and 1 female. I will also paint anyone who wants to get painted that evening. So if you want to experience body painting, this is a good opportunity for you. If you’re not sure, you can just get something small covering your arm or neck.
Location of the store:
108 Roebling (at N 6th st.)
Brooklyn, NY 11211
